Ho Chi Minh City

I have a story to tell: one of pristine beaches, sunny skies, warm people, and ridiculously cheap beer. This story takes place in Vietnam.

When I told my grandfather that I was going to Vietnam the look of disbelief was pretty humorous. My grandfather, along with many other people I told of my upcoming travel, did not think that Vietnam was the perfect getaway for my next trip. Truth be told I did not really know what to expect either. I just knew I wanted to experience a new culture and go on an adventure. I can say with all certainty that I enjoyed my two weeks in Vietnam immensely and plan to go back again in the future.

Memorial Weekend in San Diego

Do you ever just get this overwhelming feeling that you need to see the beach? That you need to hear the waves and bury your toes in the sand? Well I do. I’ve been feeling some beach lust for a few weeks and decided to take a trip to San Diego for Memorial Weekend.

Justin and I rented a beach condo on Airbnb that was right in between the bay and the ocean. Perfect location for visiting both Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. Our first morning there we walked along the bay to this cute breakfast and bakery, Olive Cafe. They have great food if you are staying in the area for pretty reasonable costs. We took our coffees to go and sat on the beach. Finally, I was there!

Sipping Wine in Sonoma

Guys, it’s been too long and I apologize. But I’m back (and ready to talk about my latest adventure)!

Justin needed to travel to Santa Rosa, California for work recently and when we looked it up on the map and saw that it was in Sonoma County we realized we needed to make a trip out of it.

One of the most fun parts about this trip was the mustang convertible we rented. Justin and I both want one now! We drove through the city, under the Golden Gate bridge, and then headed out on Highway One along the ocean.

36 Hours in San Fran

Sometimes life happens and we need to make adjustments to the best-laid plans. I had been looking forward to our visit to San Fran since the day we booked it in lieu of Valentine’s Day gifts. Three days in one of my favorite cities, I couldn’t wait! Because of other more pressing life events, we had to leave later than planned and return earlier, reducing our trip to 36 hours. Add in some rain and some very soaked shoes, Justin and I still had a great time exploring. I’m by no means a San Fransisco expert, but after a few visits to this great city I’ve learned a thing or two.

Camera Phone Snaps

When on the road, your camera isn’t always in a convenient spot to take a photo. Sometimes the most beautiful moments happen unexpectedly. It’s hard to pass up an opportunity for a great capture and camera phones can be a way to still get the photo.
